Dear Fellow Believers,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
The BUC’ Strategic Priority no.1 is Reflecting Christ. Under that initiative the BUC has embraced the General Conference 'Christ for Europe' theme and developed a three-year evangelistic programme for our territory called Reflecting Hope. 2023 was our pilot year. 2024 is the year we ask our Pastors to engage in this initiative. 2025 is the year we ask all our churches across the Union to embrace this initiative.
Our aim is to support Conferences and Missions personnel to target Pastors and key individuals in local congregations to be equipped to function efficiently during the 2025 Reflecting Hope drive. Our Purpose is to transition evangelism from being one-off events to a cyclical lifestyle approach (legacy-building initiatives within communities) to Evangelism.
To encourage churches to engage and understand their local demographics to utilise appropriate resources effectively to further the aims of the Reflecting Hope initiative and the BUC’s vision and values (Valuing People, Servant leadership, Inspiring Hope, Transforming Lives) and Strategic Priorities 1 (Reflecting Christ), 2 (Asset Management), 3 (Resources), 4 (People), 6 (Finance), 7 (Communication).
The BUC Reflecting Hope team along with the Conference/Mission Personal Ministries and Ministerial Directors have worked collaboratively to develop resources and a training weekend that will equip the local churches to support Pastors and members as we begin to plan for 2025.
The Reflecting Hope Training Weekend will offer our members essential skills and training on how to be effective in leading people to Christ. The convention will cover issues from the first contact with a non-Adventist to developing that person so that he or she will become an active member of the Church; even skilled enough to lead out in their own evangelistic outreach.
Through a series of dynamic presentations, transforming plenary sessions and challenging seminars you will be inspired, equipped, and refocused to reach your community.
